Eats in Rome

The options for restaurants and cafes in Rome can get overwhelming, making it hard to choose a place to eat, and easy to end up in a touristy spot. Over the course of the years I have fallen in love with a few place is Rome that I always seem to go back to. Recently thanks to my beautiful friend who lives in this vibrant city and also enjoys food just as much as me, the list is expanding!

Ginger Sapori e Salute – I found this place by chance in one of my trips to Rome, instantly fell in love with its interior. After taking a look at the menu, I knew I had to give it a try. Located minutes from the Spanish Steps, a beautiful place with an extensive healthy menu. I love their smoothies and the crusted salmon, yumminess overload! There isn’t a single trip to Rome without making a stop there.

Osteria Barberini – A family owned restaurant with a cozy and traditional interior, very friendly staff, and just minutes from Piazza del Trittone. Their specialty is truffles, what won me over! Risottos and pasta are available with delicious white and black truffles depending on the season, filling the room with its aroma. Seating is limited, so I suggest making a reservation or arriving early.

Gelateria dei Gracchi – Gelato and more Gelato! This small gelateria serves the best gelato in Rome, using only natural ingredients, fresh seasonal fruits, and no artificial colouring. A specialty of theirs are bonbons, gelato made into a ball and covered with pieces of nuts to enhance its original flavour! My favourite is pistachio, but they are all equally amazing.

Antico Forno La Stelletta – This tiny bakery makes fresh pastries every day! I am in love with their pistachio cookies, the thought of it makes my mouth water. This cookie is covered with pistachios, the inside is nice and moist, making it such a heavenly combination, and not overly sweet! There is plenty of other delicious options to satisfy any sweet cravings.

Buon Appetito!
